Hi! I’m Karen with a passion to develop, cook, photograph, and creating video recipes that are vegan, plant-based, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly. I do most of my cooking surrounded by my four-legged taste testers (seen below) and occasionally my two-legged taste testers, my plant-based husband, Richard, who is also a pediatrician, along with my beautiful adult daughters.
Our family hasn’t always been a vegan, allergy-friendly household. I became gluten-free when I realized my love of bread was making me sick. In addition, my eldest daughter has multiple food allergies besides gluten sensitivity including soy, certain nuts, and corn. Cooking became challenging. Out of necessity, I started developing my own recipes and fell in love with the process. Family and friends started requesting my recipes, so Vegan Gluten-Free Life was born!
My passion for cooking yummy food has grown into a full-time business. Back in 2016, I started blogging with the help of my eldest, tech-savvy daughter. I write, create recipes, take pictures of my food, and create how-to videos! I love sharing my recipes to prove that cooking vegan, plant-based, gluten-free, or allergy-friendly does not have to be difficult or tasteless. The recipes are meant to be inspirational and customizable. Make the recipes your own and have some fun in the process!
