All about me!
Hi! I’m Karen with a passion to create and share recipes that are vegan, plant-based, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly. I do most of my cooking surrounded by my four-legged taste testers (seen below) and occasionally my two-legged taste testers, my plant-based husband, Richard, who is also a pediatrician, along with my beautiful adult daughters.
Our family hasn’t always been a vegan, or gluten-free. When I realized my love of bread was making me sick started my journey to find recipes void of gluten. Additionally, my eldest daughter has multiple food allergies, gluten sensitivity, soy, certain nuts, and corn. Now that’s a challenge! Out of necessity, I started developing my own recipes and fell in love with the process. Family and friends started requesting my recipes, so Vegan Gluten-Free Life was born!
My passion for cooking yummy food has grown into a full-time business. Back in 2016, I started creating recipes, blogging, created how-to videos, and food photography all with the help of my supportive family. My passion is to share recipes to prove that cooking vegan, plant-based, gluten-free, or allergy-friendly does not have to be difficult or tasteless. The recipes are meant to be inspirational and customizable. Make the recipes your own and have some fun in the process!
