All about me!
Hi! I’m Karen and I love to develop and cook recipes that just happen to be vegan and gluten-free. I do most of my cooking surrounded by my four-legged taste testers (seen below) and occasionally my two-legged taste testers, my three adult daughters and vegan pediatrician husband, Rich.
We haven’t always been vegan and gluten-free, so transitioning to this lifestyle has definitely been an interesting journey. I became gluten-free when I realized my love of bread was making me sick. So I ditched the flour and started experimenting with gluten-free ingredients. Soon after, my family and I went vegan. Friends and family started requesting my new recipes and VGFL (Vegan Gluten Free Life) was born!
My passion for cooking yummy food has grown into a full-time business. Back in 2016 I started blogging with the help of my eldest, tech-savvy daughter. I write, create recipes, take pictures of my food, and create how-to videos! I am passionate about sharing my recipes to prove that cooking vegan, gluten-free, or allergy-friendly does not have to be difficult or tasteless. The recipes are inspirational and customizable, make them your own!
